To Your Room

I thought I would drop a quick note today! Kait was very extra tired today. She just cries and whines when she is tired. It is very exhausting! As I was feeding Ry in my room she was having another tantrum. This one was because Bug got his turn on the computer and she wanted it back. After a few minutes of "It's my turn, whine, whine, scream" she said, "I'm going to my room!" and sent herself to her own room at a run. Another cute thing: Kait thinks the words to the song from Cinderella "Sing sweet Nightingale" are "Sing sweet night-in-jail" and I cannot change her mind.

Lice or No lice?

Yikes! Bug has been exposed to lice and it is my worst nightmare!!!! We pulled all his sheets and blankets off and stuck them in the washer on HOT and stuffed the poor stuffed animals into bags just in case. Then I shaved his head almost completely bald! Good thing he didn't mind. Gave him a HOT shower washing and combing his hair three times and made him blow it dry for at least 20 minutes until he was starting to sweat. Then Kait got a hot shower and a blow dry. Notice her hair?! It is shiny, fluffy, and long. Bug and I took turns brushing it and holding the blow dryer. The kids found this to be a fun activity. I HATE bugs! Even ones you can't see. Now I am starting to itch all over. Is this a sign?

The Cost of Sleeping In

I felt very lucky Saturday morning because Ryan woke up at 7:00, ate, and fell back asleep! The much-needed sleeping in was great. I felt somewhat refreshed as we woke up at 9:00. Much to my dismay, Kait, who typically snuggles on the couch with a movie in the morning (and yes she can turn on a DVD all by herself) was not watching a movie. Instead, she had taken both boxes of new Band-Aids, Barbie for her and Curious George for Bug, and used all but five of them on her dolls and herself. She said, “My babies were hurt and I made them better.” The question is this, was sleeping in worth a few boxes of band-aids?
