Baby Allie Overload

I have so many pictures of Allison! Even extra since Braden loves to take her picture also. She started out the perfect little sleepy newborn that never ever cried! At about 3 weeks or so she started having tummy troubles and spitting up and such. Leading to sleeping troubles. But I went back to my two favorite baby books and established a flexible schedule feeding her less at each feeding and making sure to swaddle her tight and that helped a lot! She loves to be warm! and loves load white noises. Even Braden has the shh shh shh down when bouncing her to get her to go to sleep. =) The bathroom fan is her favorite though! Now at about 2 1/2 months she is doing a ton better and isn't too much of a crier. She sounds much more like a cat whining when she wants something. She is currently 12 pounds 8 1/2 ounces! Her chubby cheeks will attest to that! Kaitlin likes to hold her as well as Braden, but Ryan really has taken a great interest in her. Unfortunately, he mostly likes to poke her in the face and get really close to her with toys. We have spent a lot of the summer at home having a new baby (I didn't want germs!) and trying to go anywhere with my parade of 4 kids just didn't appeal to me much. We did go to weekly park days for the most part and hung out with friends.
Allie found her hands! She loves to suck on them and hates all pacifiers! She also will lay on her play mat and look up at the toys for short bits of time so I can make dinner and even eat it! I can't remember that ever really working with the other kids! They would cry the minute they were put down. She is such a wonderful beautiful baby girl! We Love her!

World's Best Babysitter

Braden with his DS!
On a more serious note: Braden is a wonderful help and he truly loves holding Allie. He asks to hold her all of the time and now that she has some limited neck and head control I let him carry her around. He even is able to bounce her to sleep!
Shh Shh Shh
Couldn't get by without a Mr Funny Man pose!

Back to School

The kids were super excited to go back to school. Both are still in the duel language program: Braden is starting 4th grade and KK is in 1st. So far they are both very happy. They get in the car after school and say they have really good days at school. Yeah for great teachers and good friends!!

Toothless

KK lost her first tooth! She discovered it was wiggly in the morning and had it hanging by a thread before Jake even came home from work. She even let Braden do the honors and pull it out for her. She couldn't be happier about it!!

Fun with Dad

Jake was able to take a week off work when we had the baby! He made it a very fun and special time for all of the kids! They played baseball and jumped on the trampoline! Best of all they had a campout! Braden and Kaitlin set up the tent without help! They also helped set up the sleeping arrangements. They watched a movie and ate popcorn until it got dark and then they had a fire and told ghost stories. Ryan tells the funniest little stories! I think they all got a little sleep.

I took them on Saturday to an Art Festival at the park. The kids made tons of crafts: Braden made a painting by painting a dead fish and then taking its print. Yuck! Bubby made a really cool macaroni necklace and Kaitlin made a fairy wand that was 100% covered in glitter! The thing they wanted to do the most though was face painting!

Jake took Kaitlin and Ryan on a hike up Sauk Mountain. He had to carry Ryan most of the way up. It sure was a beautiful view! The kids have really enjoyed their special time with Dad!
